PS 25.9.1 crashes with "Edit in Photoshop" command from Mac PHOTOS app

In OS 13.6.7 using the Mac PHOTOS application (Version 8.0), using the contextural menu on a photo stored there: "Edit With > Adobe Photoshop 2024" - Photoshop always crashes.
