PS Brush Cursor Issue while painting

I am having an issue while using the brush tool to mask/paint in Photoshop. The brush tool will change to the default windows cursor while painting. This makes it very hard to see where the edge of my brush is. I am running the latest version of PS for windows 10 (v 21.1.0) and the latest drivers for my GPU (Nvidia GTX 1050ti). The PC i am using should have plenty of processor and RAM for photoshop (intel i7-6700k @4.00 GHz & 32 GB of RAM). I have inserted a video of the problem below:

I know it sounds weird, but I'm going to suggest testing disabling any antivirus or ad blocker software you may have running (I had to ACTUALLY uninstall mine, completely). Even browser plugins (ESPECIALLY browser plugins) can cause issues like this.

Do you by any chance have any software active that is designed to highlight mouse actions? You will frequently see people use these when giving software presentations or tutorials.

Thanks, there must have been a glitch somewhere. Cursor stays as the brush even when i changed the settings back to whate I had before resetting (full brush + crosshair)
