PS CC 2017 & Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3 PSD EPS files not displaying any layers ??

I'm working in PS CC 2017 on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3. PSD and EPS files that were layered no longer open with layers. NO a total novice but this has me stumped. Any suggestions???

Check the Layer Panel, maybe the filter of layers is turned on. If you see the circle in red, clic on it to see again your layers.
