PS CS6 quit working; says I am on trial version; what do I do?

I bought CS6 in 2013 and have the serial #. I use Mac OS 10.11.6. Today I clicked on the icon to start it and it said I needed to log in to adobe to start my trial version. I have done nothing odd or out-of-ordinary since using it yesterday, but now it won't work. I don't use the cloud.

What should I do?

Permanent reverts to Trial with CC ad.

This happens often. Don't panic. Your serial number is still good, you simply need to re-enter it and you do not need to purchase anything. Follow these steps:

1. On receiving Trial/Trial Expired screen

2. Make sure that you are online

3. Click on license this software

4. Perpetual product owners: Log in with adobe ID and enter product serial number

5. Product should be licensed successfully

This has happened to me before. If all else fails, uninstall your adobe programs, the adobe creative cloud desktop application, and then reinstall it along with all your apps.
