PS displays very large on monitor

Hello,

Been using an older version of PS for years and I just downloaded the trial of PS for 2017. Works nice, no probs but the program displays very large on my monitor. Everything, left hand tools, layer screen, history box, you name it. When I click on FX, it covers my photo entirely and practically takes up the entire monitor. My old version doesn't do this or anything else on my computer screen. Anyone know how to reduce the size of everything?

Thanks for your help,

JC
