Question

PS issue at end of install

I ran into an issue last night after installing PS. I opened PS and when I did two error messages opened. One was about DirectX and the other I cannot remember since my system crashed.

What are all requirements (hardware and software)?

@Nancy OShea DirectX is a requirement for PC GPUs. @Bryan5CE1 Photoshop requires a GPU that supports DirectX12 (feature level 12). Go to Photoshop Help Menu/System Info and copy/paste details in a reply. Post only once as the system takes time to process the large amount of data.

Direct X???

Which version and build # of Windows do you have?

Which version of Photoshop?

For current Photoshop users, make sure your computer meets the minimum CPU & GPU requirements. Most Creative Cloud apps work on:

  • Windows 11 (64-bit), Windows 10 versions 22H2, 21H2, 21H1;
  • MacOS 13 (Ventura), 12 (Monterey), macOS 11 (Big Sur).

I got the PS directly from the Creative Cloud, so it should be the current version.

My crashed system had Windows 10 (don't know the version #). I could not install W11 b/c I don't have TPM 2.0. I wish I had taken a screen shot of the message.  PS initially worked but I needed to research the steps to do my task. Not sure I that meet the GPU requirement. So maybe that was the error I am seeing. The system I was using has an integrated video controller. I am looking into a new system though with a better graphics card.
