ps lighting effects crashing

Hello! Ps crashing when using lighting effects. Thinking a while of the effect then crash. Have had this problem since ps changed the interface of the lighting effects a cuple of years ago. Trying with different pictures, jpg, psd, small and bigger but chrashes all the time. Suggestions?

Lighting effects now uses the 3D engine. Make sure your GPU is compatible with Photoshop and if you are on Windows ensure the driver is up to date. Use the driver from the GPU manufacturers site rather than relying on Windows update.
