PS ne s'ouvre plus depuis la version 20.0.7

The auto update of version 20.0.7 started this morning and since then I can not open PS (LR and Bridge ok) anymore.

I tried to uninstall / reinstall, but nothing helps. At launch, after a few seconds PS sends me a window with an "Incident Report for" Adobe PS CC ".

Config Win 7 pro

Does somebody have an idea ?

Would you mind updating the Graphic Card drivers to the latest drivers available for your Graphics Card available on NVIDIA's website? That may help!

I ve also tried to do this.

Finally i reached the Adobe hotline. After 3 hours PS i's now running OK. The guy said the setup was not done properly (CC installation so...)

Nevertheless thanks to everybody.

Interesting that your other computer had the same issue. Out of curiosity,  what is the Win 10 version number that you're running? I think to have Photoshop work totally properly,  you need at least v.1809.

Back to you to share an interesting experience. I've another machine (my week-end house) which is running PS, but with Win 10 Pro (instead of win 7 pro where the problem first occur). I've started the machine, and of course CC Desktop updated PS to 20.0.7. Exactly the same issue happenned like on my main PC. Then i removed the 20.0.7 and install the old v 19.1.9. You know what ? PS is running perfectly.

I don't know about those files. Usually, the VV Cleaning tool works well. If you think they might be a problem, you could move them, then try to install, but I doubt what will work. When you used the CC cleaning tool, did you reboot first, before trying to install? Maybe something in the registry needs to be cleaned out with a reboot.

No i did not. Ok, i'll do it again with a reboot and i'll keep you aware.

Ok, same issue even with several reboot.

I'll try with the hotline tomorrow.

Can you still open the older version of Photoshop? If so, don't bother trying to update. This last update was just for Mac bug fixes, not Windows.

Thanks a lot Chuck. This is was i also tried to do. Same problem.

A friend sent me a trick with the CC cleaner tool. Same result.

By the way i found some dmp CC files. This could be helpful but the files are > 15 mo

Hi there,

We are sorry about the issue you are facing while trying to launch Photoshop 20.0.7.

Would you mind sharing some more information on if the application crashes on the splash screen or do you see the interface of application before it crashes?

You can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned in the link below to check if that helps.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I've no crash, only the screen below (my PS is in EN as i've removed the tw10428_Photoshop_fr_FR.dat file since a couple of months without any issue so far).

regards,

Gilles

Would you mind sharing the system configuration of your computer and if your system has a dual graphic card setup? Also, apart from the Photoshop 20.0.7 update, did your computer go through any Windows updates recently?
