PS Won't Open RAW Files after Update

My PS has performed perfect for many years.

However I recently updated PF and now I ger error messages.

Please see my uploaded photos.

Has anyone had this problem.

I did try online support, but it was as slow as a week in the jail. 🙂

In that case it sounds like ACR isn't properly installed. I'd uninstall Photoshop and reinstall. Watch the CC desktop app and check that ACR gets installed with Photoshop.

It could also be that your file associations are broken. Check in Windows that cr2 is set to open in Photoshop, and if not set it (Default apps > choose default applications by file type).

EDIT: try the file associations first, if that doesn't work uninstall/reinstall.

PS is the default for CR2 andthe reinstall didn't do the job. Still getting the error.

I've also noticed the Raw is taking a seriously long time to open the ones it does manage.

From memory it's 14.1.0.993 and my camera is a Canon 7D about 6 years old

This is the message you normally get when the camera is too new to be supported in the installed Camera Raw (ACR) version.

So what exact version do you have installed? ACR should now be up to 14.1.

Also, what camera?
