PSD file corrupted by puppet warp I presume.

I was making adjustments to an old illustration for a social media post and the file ended up corrupted.
1. I couldn't use the warp transform feature on multiplte layers at once (which I certainly hope you are working on... this would be immensly helpful to everyone), so I copied said layers and merged the copy then performed a warp transform.
2. I then used Puppet Warp to further tweak the layer.
After which I noticed the corruption. Whenever I would select and alter (move or use a tool) anything in that layer it would create a blanked out space (see attachment). It wouldn't wipe the layer clean or anything, just visually block me from seeing anything within that space due to the "blanked out space".
I tried restarting photoshop, then installing an older version (then back to the current version) and then restarted my computer. Unfortunately the problem persists in that document, thus I would conclude that the document is likely corrupted due to the use of puppet warp.

Luckily this didn't happen with work for a client!
