Question

PSD thumbnail disappeared after update to PS 2020

I updated Photoshop to 2020 & I cant see the thumbnails for psd files anymore on my Win 10 machine

If I recall correctly, it was the same problem with 2019 update & a workaround was given then to solve it. Can't locate that thread any more.

Anyone else facing this issue & how to fix it?

I have exactly the same issue, I am saving my PSD's as DDS and all I get is the default Ps Icon. I really need it to show the actual thumbnail. Is it something to do with PS2020 save preferences?

Hi, which version of Ps (check in help>system info)? if it is not 21.1.3, update in the CC app.

Which OS and version are you on? What are the settings of your explorer/finder in regards to icon size?

what do you mean by "I am saving my PSD's as DDS"

Adobe Photoshop Version: 21.1.3 20200508.r.190 2020/05/08: 73760933ad5 x64 On Win10 fully updated File view settings are large and folder options set to display icon as thumbnail. I use the Intel Texture Works plugin to convert my PSD files to DDS for use in the simulation DCS World. My PSD show as an image in the thumbnails but my DDS files don't. Please see this image. https://i.imgur.com/82kE3ba.jpg I tried Sagethumbs but that makes the thumbnails look like they have a dissolve like this https://i.imgur.com/68c1zO8.jpg
