Question

Pure Green screen, with no image, when importing scan of B&W negative?

When importing scanned B&W negative images into Photoshop, latest edition, all I see is a Pure Green screen, with no image, after first seeing the dim B&W image for a microsecond.   How do I fix this, so I can edit the image?  Some scans may have been 3 channel scans in color, others single channel B&W scans. I am not positive there is any difference in how PS renders them, but am open to any and all suggestions.

Hi

Try enabling this option in preferences and restarting Photoshop to see if it helps

Thanks so much for that tip. It works perfectly. I am not sure that I would have found the answer in any reasonable time frame without your assistance. I am getting ready to process a number of B&W images scanned from negatives, and dealing with a green screen each time I opened a file would have been horrendous.
