Purple line in brush tool

When using the brush tool I have a purple colored line that appears in almost the center of the brush tool. It also moves with it, is there a way to disable this annoying feature?

      Whoops, sorry c.p.  I did not read your second post properly, so I am repeating your comment, but I will add that you can also set the 'leash' to a less annoying colour.

        You could set smoothing to 0%.
