Random full-opacity strokes when using graphics tablet

In a bit of a fix.

Photoshop is making random full-opacity brush strokes when I'm using my Wacom Intuos Pro Medium tablet. The "brush transfer" feature will work correctly most of the time (light strokes with light pressure), however, sometimes it seems to "ignore" transfer and just make a full-thickness stroke regardless of how hard I'm pressing down. It started doing this about a day ago, and got more frequent after the update. As far as I can tell, there's nothing I can do to cause it to happen, it just happens.

In addition to this, before this behavior, it was just ignoring my strokes entirely some of the time. Occasionally, nothing would be recorded when I make my stroke. That has stopped, but now I have the problem above.

You have my gratitude.

UPDATE:

I was able to resolve the issue (I think) by following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGi47EWEkuY

Correct answer josephlavine

I have found the need to periodically uninstall and reinstall my Intuos software, especially after any type of Photoshop update.

Although inconvenient, it usually fixes these types of issues for me.
