Random lines suddenly appeared on my .jpg files?

Hi! I would like to ask,

I was still exporting .jpg files without any problems until this morning, but suddenly random lines appeared on my exported pictures, especially on solid backgrounds. The lines only appeared after the picture is exported, there's no problem while editing in Photoshop. I didn't make any change on the save settings or anything. I've been using Adobe Photoshop CS6 for 3 years but this is my first time to encounter this problem.

^On Photoshop

^Exported and viewed with Windows Photo Viewer (with other photo viewer apps as well)

Hope anyone would help asap since this is for my final project. Thank you!

Hi giovannipia,

I see no difference in the two images. This indicates a problem with your graphics card driver, which could be outdated. Please check for an update on manufacturer's website. For further troubleshooting, take a look at this article Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processor (GPU) and graphics driver issues

Thanks,

Akash

I see it, but I suspect some screen scaling display artifact, possibly an interference pattern. View at 100% so that one image pixel is represented by exactly one physical screen pixel, and check again.

Are you using Export? Save For Web? Save As? Is it scaled down in the Export?

Jpeg compression can do odd things. Do you see the same with PNG?

It's evident that there's a distinction. As an ordinary user, why can I perceive the problem that the original poster has pointed out? With all respect, it might be worth verifying your equipment or even your color vision before dismissing a genuine concern outright.
