Random saving problem which crashes macOS Catalina

similar to the problem described in the thread above, my photoshop will stop saving a file (in most cases, to an external hard drive) at some percentage, which further prevents Finder copying files between disks/ejecting external drives (as photoshop is using them)/relaunch Finder/shutting down the computer (unless holding power button for a few secs).

 

My photoshop version is the lastest 20.0.6 and I'm using macOS 10.15 Catalina.

 

edit: Now I'm running macOS 10.15.1 and photoshop 21.0.1; the problem is still there.

It's december 10 and this issue is still not fixed!!! . I had multiple occasions where I edited an image for an hour and then this problem (saving to ext.drive) error happens. ADOBE come on mannnnnn

The problem is not described in that post.

However, yesterday an agent in support chat said disabling GPU acceleration would temporarily solve the problem; I tried a few files they were all working OK. I'll update to 20.0.7 today and hopefully, it would work better with 10.15.

..it didn't for me. updatet to 20.0.7 and still have the saving issues. so when i save a psd file, it means i'll kill it and can start from scratch.
