When I download RAW pictures into Lightroom it puts a duplicate RAW copy into Photoshop. I want to save storage space how can I turn off duplicate copy ie only download to Lightroom?

You don't seem to understand how this works. Files are always saved somewhere on your disk(s). Any application can access them there.

The Lightroom catalog is just a record of where on disk the files are. When you see a file in Lightroom, it means the catalog contains a pointer to it. The files are not inside Lightroom!

These are the same files, not duplicate copies. If you delete them outside Lightroom, you also delete them from Lightroom!

If you're running low on space, you need to get an extra drive.
