in 9.0 cs4 under Image-Adjustments-Color fiter.....I have YELLOW checked off [ 25%], which I can not get rid of .. . It came this way and I want to resolve the issue so the pics do NOT have to have YELLOW removed in processing. Unless I am truly missing something, I doubt it should be checked off....I would adust my camera to "Softer" image....SOOOOOOOOOOO How do I solve the issue ? thanks DRH

Try trashing your Preferences. Quit Photoshop and hold down control/option/shift - when restarting it. When it asks if you want to rebuild preferences say "yes".

I am assuming that you are saying that whenever you launch Photofilter it is defaulting to yellows

At the very best, I fail to see what this has to do with anything in this thread.

As I have now seen this same post, inappropriately inserted into one other thread, I'd guess that your other two posts are the exact same. Where are you headed with this dude (or dudette)?

What do you mean "9.0 cs4" ? That doesn't make sense.

You seem to be misunderstanding the purpose of the Photo Filter!

If you don't want a yellow (or any other colour) tint to a picture don't apply the filter!

If you have saved a picture with the yellow applied, you are stuck with it like that – unless you know how to remove a colour cast.

If you open a new image, it will not have a colour tint if you don't apply the Photofilter.

Adjustments for a "softer" image are not made with the Photo Filter but by totally different means.

Read up a bit in the Help files and study some tutorials.

If you require a specific effect, tell us what it is.

I have photoshop 9.0 cs4, and under Photo filter in the drop down from image and adjustments, that is where 25%yellow filter appears....I never applied it, and can not unapply or disable it..........Dan

There is no such thing as "color filter" - do you mean Selective Color? Color Balance? the rest of your question is fairly near impossible to understand.

I think what he is refering to is the Photo Filter in Adjustments. It has a drop down box with warming and cooling filters, colors, including yellow with 25% density. Have never played with these so have no comment on adjustments.
