Re: layers window stuck on one layer?

Hello. I tried to use the advice you gave in here but it does not help. I tried everything: creating a clipping mask and so on but I can't isolate a layer in order to edit it because it affects the whole backgrownd

    Can you describe in more detail what it is you're trying to achieve, also can you post a screenshot with all the pertinent panels opened

    I'm doing an exercise trying to stick to a portrait a mouth from another portrait ( and so on). I'VE CHOSEN  a portrait of a white skin person and the mouth of a dark skin person and I have to adjust the color to the face. Trying to work on one layer (of the mouth)  I DON"T MANAGE TO ISOLATE ITS EDITING FROM THE BACKGROUD.

    It would help if you posted a screenshot with the layers panels opened, I'm still a bit confused as to what you what to achieve, you mention "I have to adjust the color to the face. Trying to work on one layer (of the mouth)"
