Re: PHOTOSHOP VERSION 24.1 IS BUGGED!

On version 24.1 a simple save doesn't work for me.  Windows 11, fresh install, open a .CR2 from Lightroom into Photoshop and go to File->Save and I get an error message saying there was a general problem saving.

Rollbacked to 24 and works fine on the older version.

Does The save not work with any document or only with the round-tripping from LR to Photoshop?

If only from LR, one of the first things to try is this:
    1. Use the Adobe Creative Cloud application to uninstall both Photoshop and Lightroom Classic, and when asked, keep preferences.
    2. Install Photoshop first, then Lightroom Classic.
    Better?

Hi @chrisfromneptune Maybe it's a Windows 11 issue and someone else can confirm. Otherwise, it's working for me using Windows 10 (Lightroom Classic 12.0.1 Release, Camera Raw 15.0). From CR2 file, right click to Edit in Photoshop 2023 (24.0.1 Release). From Photoshop, File > Save results in changing the CR2 file to a PSD file. How are your External Editing settings configured in Lightroom Preferences?

    They're set to TIFF/LZW.

Perhaps it is a Windows 11 issue but I was surprised to find a fresh install of Windows and a fresh install of LR/PS couldn't save the file, needing a rollback of Photoshop.

Yes, that is strange that it's not working in the latest release for you. There must be some change that happened somewhere. As suggested, you might want to try using the cleaner tool when you have time, or if you are stable using 24.0.0, wait until the next release to see if it sorts itself out.  Let us know how it goes!
