Reading .ABR files?

I am looking for a way to read photoshop brush files (ABR),
can anyone give me some directions?

Thanks Toby for the help, but the document you wrote about
(Photoshop File Formats) is neither in the CS pack nor the CS2 SDK.
Is there anywhere else to get this document?

It's part of the Advanced SDK. You have to request it via the same mechanism
that you used to get the base SDK.

I had a hunch that the format described in that document was actually v5.0 ABR, but I'm not certain. It seemed to morph into something entirely incompatible, anyway (procedural brushes?)

The only doc I've seen is PS 6.0 SDK, "Photoshop File Formats.pdf", which describes this version of ABR. The Advanced CS2 SDK may have more up to date information, but I've not seen that.

PS6 abr files look to be the same as CS/CS2 abr files.
