Recent list - how to turn it on?

Hello,

Under file - recent list , it says clear recent list, it never  shows any of my last used files.

How do I enable it to show recent files and set how many to show.

I do like having this function but can not figure out how to turn it on.

In your Preferences in the File Handling section at the bottom, there should be a setting for the number of files for "Recent File List Contains." If it is set to a number (like 20) and you've had files open that aren't showing up in the list and that haven't been cleared, then you might try resetting your preferences. Here's how to reset preferences.
