Hello everyone, i have a big problem!

Photoshop doesn't work anymore! i have the latest updated version of PS and Big Sur, but since some days the screen is always red when i open an image, it works if i take off the graphic accelerator, but after i take it off working is impossible. Any suggestions!?

If turning OFF GPU works, it's a GPU bug and you need to contact the manufacturer or find out if there's an updated driver for it.

Maybe try this :  Go to Preferences >Technology Previews and check Deactivate Native Canvas. Then quit and restart Photoshop; any better?

Turning off Native Canvas under Preferences > Technology Previews worked for me. What the heck is that pref anyway, and why does it default to ON?

Change is hard. Microsoft and Apple are changing their operating system graphical support all the time to use improved hardware and graphics software to improve performance. At some point in time older technology will not be support or updated Application will be updated to use the newer technologies. So Adobe is updating the application the take advantage of the improvements.  However, all parts of Photoshop have not been updated yet some features still depend on the older support. Photoshop 3D depends on the older support I believe disabling Native Canvas disable some of the enhancements and enable older support Photoshop 3D rendering and feature depend on.

Thanks for the helpful clarification.

As an aside, a rendering app I depend on will no longer be offered for Macintosh because the tiny shop maintaining it has been unable to adapt to the graphical environment of MacOS Big Sur. The lead programmer told me every major version update of MacOS has broken their app. Henceforward they'll offer the app only for Windows, where they've had very few problems adapting to new system versions.
