Refine Edge Tool not working

Refine edge used to work great at masking fur but for some reson when I try to use it now the brush acts just like th equick selection brush and seems to have no 'finess' whatsoever

Any suggestions why this is. Have I accidentally changed settings elsewhere which may have affected it?

Sorry to hear about this. Which version of Photoshop are you working on?

Could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?
