release 21.2.0 not good - crashing computer

Just got the latest release - wish I hadn't. I do a lot of work at the pixel level - convert pictures to cross stitch patterns.

I can zoom in to the required 1200% but soon as I view the extras (grid) it crashes my whole computer.

Alternatively with the extras on, I can't zoom in past 400%.

Anyone know a work around?

Hi, please tell us which OS are you using.

Have you updated the graphic card driver?

Have you tried to reset photoshop preferences?

Windows 10.0.19041.292 which had an updated graphics card. Made sure I updated windows to latest version. Tried again but still not working. Frustrated uninstalled 21.2 and reinstalled previous version - works fine now
