Remove tool crashes GPU acceleration in PS 24.5 windows

I had this happening on previous version too. I did a few strokes and after a certain number, small or large, PS freezes, blinks and then I am without GPU acceleration (no scrubby zoom, image is choppy and moves as squares, no brush strokes visible) even though it's still detecting GPU and shows full acceleration as enabled. The only help is to close PS completely.

i7 9750H 6 core 12 thread CPU

GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GPU

32GB RAM

Windows 11

 

I don't think my laptop is weak to run something like that, it's not that old either. The only issues I have are with adobe SW and it's really going downhill for a while. I might actually stop paying for it...

    Hi @finepetphoto go to Preferences/Image Processing and change Remove Tool Processing to "Stable".

    Could you please confirm if switching the  Remove Tool setting to "More Stable" in Preferences solved the issue for you?
