Question

Remove tool from Photoshop version 24.6 is not working for MacOS 11 Big Sur

I recently updated Photoshop to 24.6 beta version on my MacOS BigSur 11.7.8 which is the latest version available on my iMac.

When I choose Remove tool, the brush is inactive. So, my questions are:

1. Is Remove tool not working for MacOS 11?

2. If so, is there any plan to expand the Remove tool to be compatible for MacOS verison 11 in the future?

Thank you for your help!

Unfortunately, the Remove Tool requires macOS Monterey 12.6.3 or later.

Doubtful Adobe will bother with Big Sur compatibility, since in a few months

both Adobe and Apple will drop support when macOS Sonoma is released.

Have you got it set with Remove after each stroke unchecked?  If yes, you need to hit the check mark in the Options bar to activate the remove.

Have you got Sample all layers turned off?  If yes and the selected layer has not content, then that wouldn't work.

Do you see the mauve stroke after stroking the screen?
