Removing a line behind subject

If the clothing or hair is getting blurred, that’s a clue that maybe the brush size is too large. Maybe try using a larger brush size to take out the line, and switch to a finer brush tip size when near hair or clothing. You could accelerate that by creating two tool presets with different tip sizes in advance, so that you can switch between them in one click in that tool’s options bar.

Or, quickly use the Lasso tool to draw a selection around the wall line as a “fence” for the edit, so that when you use the tool, it can’t go past the selection and damage the hair or clothing.

If you draw a selection with the Lasso tool, that opens up using the Patch tool instead of the brush-based healing/cloning tools: Drag the selection to a good area of the wall, using the good area as a content source to heal the wall line you circled.

HI @lindentree using the Spot Healing tool you could simply paint over the line making sure to use a brush wide enough to cover both above and below the line. You could also use the same tool to remove the other blemishes:

You could use Select subject and then place the person on a separate layer and then work on the line.

I did this quickly with Photoshop Elements (because I am not at my computer with Photoshop) using the clone tool and then the healing tool.
