usually files that are missing or moved faded in grey, dissapear when clicked on, but there is a couple which wont go away?, , “this file has been moved etc etc” , how can i remove these from showing in “recents”, the files are on an external drive, so i dont need them appearing in the recents menu screen, just clutters the previews, cheers.

    Hi

I don't think you can remove individual files from the list , however you can go to menu File > Open Recent > Clear recent file list   to clear them all and start again.

Haha - it looks like Mohit, Ged and I were typing at the same time. We are like buses - you wait ages for one then three turn up at once

    Hi jordanbanimaton

You can clear all the recent files by going to File>Open Recent at the bottom of the list is "Clear recent file list"

    Or

You can delete Or move the file from the drive and when you click on the recent file on Photoshop start screen, you will get an error message that it can not find the file and will remove that link from the list.

    Regards,

    Mohit
