Resize image, keep transparency

Hi! Very simply I need to re size a lot of images from high amount of data to smaller files so I can use them online on websites and my photographer has not shrunk the image! can I reduce the size of the image on Adobe photoshop but still keep the transparency of the photo? Its a PNG file too - also never used this software before.
