resize photo

This is not working properly. I want a 3000x300 300dpi photo but it keeps changing during the export to 3000x2001

The original size is 6000x4000

    3000 x 300 would be grossly distorted.  To maintain the original aspect ratio, you would need 3000 x 2000.

    Open original image.

    Go to Image > Image Size

    Go to File > SaveAs or Export As...

    To resize to 3000x300 you would have to unlink the width and height. The result would be severely distorted.  You should not change the aspect ratio using images size.

    It should resize to 3000x2000 I find the often you will see resize off be a pixel or soe in the width or height.  It may be the intepolation method used,  Yoi can always crop it to 3000x2000 with Canvas Size. I do not think you will notice the difference in saving files. You start with 12,000,000 and end up with 6,003,000 or 6,000,000.
