Question

Rosetta conflict with extensions and remove tool

I have a Macbook Pro M2 Pro....I use the Remove tool extensively. I understand that I cannot use my extensions if I decide to use the Remove tool because of Rosetta. Is Adobe planning able to resolve this situation and, if so, are they planning to do so...I would enjoy the opportunity to work with my extensions and the Remove tool without changing Rosetta on the Adobe Photoshop app.

Thank you

Hi, indeed, you need to contact the writers of the extensions and ask if they can port it from CEP to UXP so that you do not need to use the Rosetta compatibility mode.

You can point them to the Creative Cloud Developers forum:  https://forums.creativeclouddeveloper.com/

As@Lumigraphics pointed out the issue isn't Adobe's to fix. The extension developer needs to update their plugin/extension to run on ARM/M1 systems. M1 series has been out for three years, if they haven't come out with an update by now, chances are they are EOL. What specific extensions are you running? Perhaps there is a better alternative.

Your extensions need to be updated. That simple.
