Rotate a portion of an image?

I take photos using a crystal ball as part of the image. I'd like to rotate the ball image within the photo so that the ball image isn't 180 degrees out of phase.

Is it possible in Photoshop to rotate only a portion of an image?

Thanks in advance.

    Yes,

Select that part of the image, copy it onto a new layer and Edit - Transform -Rotate (or Edit -Transform - Flip Horizontal) as required. You may need to soften the edges with a mask.

If you post an image we can show you further.

If it's on a separate layer.  How good are you with layer masks?
