Rotating Canvas Causes Aliasing on Brush

When I make a stroke on the canvas with 0° rotation, the brush works fine, but if I rotate the canvas at any degree (even 90°), it creates aliasing on the stroke. Anyone know how to fix this? Really hard to draw comfortably if I can't rotate the canvas.

I'm using Photoshop 2022 v23.0 on Windows 10, but this issue was occurring in previous versions as well.
