Running different versions of Photoshop iMac and MacBook Pro

I have an iMac 2013 that has topped out at OS Catalina and running Photoshop V23.5.2.

My 2017 MacBook Pro is also running Catalina—latest update to PS V24.0 won't run on Catalina, but only the MBPro can update to OS Monterey so I can upgrade Photoshop to V24.0.

If I update the laptop to OS Monterey and PS v24.0, will I be able to open PSD V24 files on the iMac running PS V23.5.2? 

Photoshop V23.5.2 runs great on the iMac and MBPro. 

Thoughts/recommendations?
