Save an optimized image in Photoshop

Hi,

I want to ask how is the correct way to save a optimized image

File / Save as

File / Export / Save for web

File / Export / Export as

or i can use last 2 ways

I suggest you always keep your original layered Photoshop (PSD) image, so you can return to do more work on it if you need to, and Save As (say) a JPG for other uses such as High Res for print and low res for websites.

What are you using your image for -  web, print, video, animation, other?

What file type do you need?

All depends on what the final image will be used for.   Personally I use SaveAs for print and Export As for web images.  I no longer use legacy Save For Web because it's outdated.
