Save Box is Completely Blank

I recently updated to Photoshop v 25.3.1 and when I'm trying to save, it comes up with a blank save box. Nothing else, so I cannot save my image. I can force quit, which doesn't lose my work, but need a fix. I've read other posts from the issue from earlier this yera and these solutions didn't work.

Details below.

  • Photoshop version:  25.3.1 (Updated Today)
  • OS:  Win 10 v22H2

Steps to reproduce:

  1. File Save As
  2. Nothing...

Expected result:  I expect to get a screen allowing me to save my work.
Actual result:  A blank dialog box appears.

Please try to disable the option to "Use Graphics Procesor" from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.

If it helps, you can check out the steps suggested here:  https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html

Especially dual graphic units are a never-ending. They will very often conflict. The standard advice is to disable the CPU integrated graphics completely. See section 6 & 7 in the linked document above.

Is your system up-to-date? Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver. If you have a NVidia graphic card installed, make sure that you are using the recent Studio version of the driver, not the Game Ready version.

If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

Preferences in Photoshop (adobe.com)

Please backup your settings before resetting the preferences. Migrate presets, actions, and settings (adobe.com)

If this also doesn't help, please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Photoshop menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.

So my system is as up-to-date as it can be...Can only update as recent as company adopts versions.

The solution you gave to disable "Use Graphics Processor" worked! Unfortunately i wasn't able to force Photoshop to close and it save that setting choice. So I did end up losing my work. Nothing 15 min of making up time can't help.

Next time this or anything similar happens to you consider doing the following...

1) Select all layers

2) Convert to smart object

3) Convert to linked

*Just keep in mind it will save the file expanding the canvas to fully include all the layer(s), but you can always crop back down after saving/restarting without losing significant work*
