For 15 years Save for Web defaults to Jpeg. Today it's default to Gif? Any clues how to fix this? Thanks.

The two above are correct. I had to change it from jpeg to gif when I made a timeline of a WIP and had to remember to change it back to jpeg the next time I saved for web.

Thanks Jeff good, yes, just upgraded to Mojave.

And YOU KNOW WHY I WAIT 6-8 MONTHS TO UPGRADE MAC OS..?

So kinks are worked out.. What is going on with the Sadist software engineers over at Adobe,  for us 2 billion Mac users?

Also Jeff others: Help me please also never ended issues with Adobe for me.....  Why no more email notification?

Manually change to jpeg as per Derek's suggestion above, Click on done to try locking that in.

If you restart Photoshop and this comes back, we may have to look at a prefs issue.

Can't you change the format in the Save for Web dialogue box drop-down menu?
