Saving A File

Hello. Have CS 5 which has worked fine for several years. Suddenly I am unable to save any files, and often can not open a file. All hardware is working and Windows 7 appears to be okay. Any suggestions? Thank You, Jim.

Try resetting your Photoshop preferences.

First thank you for your quick reply and secondly that worked. I always

prefer to solve problems myself. If I can ask for your further assistance,

why would changing Preferences solve the save image problem? Thank you

again for your time and expertise. Jim

Corruptions seem to build up over a few months and need cleaning up occasionally (I find).
