There are no extensions visible behind the file name when I save a file in Photoshop.

What do I need to do?

On my system the extension will be automatically added if it is not entered into the save or export dialog.

Showing or hiding extensions is part of your operating system.

In macOS, go to Finder menu > Advanced tab > enable "Show all filename extensions".

Are you using Mac?

Go to your preference Command> K

In the file handling tab active the extension as seen in the screenshot.

Hi @chanaart

Photoshop: Preferences > File Handling only sets whether the file extension are upper or lower case and how image previews are saved (or not.)
