Saving and font issues no matter what version I try

I'm having so many issues with PS right now. Everything was working fine until the last update, which brought me to Version 20.1- every time I try to save a project, it says an unknown error occurred. I've lost hours of work over the past month, so I changed back to Version 20.0.1- but in that version, none of my fonts work now (I've triple checked they are in my library, and reinstalled many of them to no avail) Any suggestions on what to try next? I just renewed for a year and am really regretting it. Thank you for any insight on how to fix these problems. L
