Everytime I attempt to save a photo as a jepg that I have originally opened as a PSD photoshop will crash and the jpeg file create says that is empty. Is this due to being using a Mac becuase I have not had this problem with my old laptop on windows 10. Is there any fixes for this problem?

Thank you

How large of a file are we talking about?

Send specs for your mac - OS, PS version, HD Space available, RAM, etc.

They are all under 5mb

My mac is 2017 13 in MacBook Pro (2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB graphics, 256 Gb, 8gigs of ram)

What is your available RAM? Not total.

8 GB is the minimum for PS and that is all you have installed.

System software and other applications use RAM which means you have less than the minimum recommended available.

You can try these two tips in the meantime:

Reset your PS preferences (Hold Shift+Opt+Cmd) when you open the app. It will ask if you want to delete preferences. Say yes.

If that doesn't do anything the other option you have is to uninstall and reinstall the app.

Use your windows laptop. Posting your Mac Crash reports may help you get some help for your mac problem.

I would use that laptop but I do not have access to it any more.
