saving to TIF sometimes leaves off the file info in Windows file properties.

Sometimes (but not always) when I use Photoshop to save from RAW to TIF, the file info is not saved in Windows file properties. When I look back in File Info in Photoshop, the info is there, but when I right click on the file icon in Windows and choose Properties, the info is not there.  And the info is not there when I list the file in Windows Explorer (Details view) under the column headers for whatever properties I've chosen to make visible - in other words, for some of the TIFs I've saved in Photoshop, the info can be seen by right clicking and choosing Properties or by looking under the appropriate column in Windows Explorer (Details view), but this is not the case for other TIFs saved in Photoshop.

Windows simply does not read all flavors of TIFFs and that is that. Nothing wrong here. It all depends on the chosen save settings or even things like file size. Unless you use the Windows image viewer all the time to actually view the image, those files may never be actively opened or scanned, hence the info cannot be cached and displayed.

Ah, yes, I see now that the tif files that don't show file info in Windows are the largest tif files among those I recently saved. This seems to be a Windows flaw, not a Photoshop flaw, I guess. I wonder why Windows does this and what the size cutoff is. Thanks for your help.
