Scanning in photoshop

Hi

Inn the past I had a canon USB MP610 which I could use as a scanner  by selecting WIA and import/scan into photoshop.

I've just purchased a new wireless canon all in one scanner which works perfectly from the canon software and scans to my PC however photoshop appears not to recognise the printer so when I select file import it  tells me there is no WIA device present.

I'm running 64bit windows 10 so am I better to use the canon scan software and then open the saved file in photoshop or do I need another twain/wia driver

thanks

Ian

Are you sure it not seen as a WIA  scanner.  I can not answer abour you Canon all in on.  All I can write is I purchased a cheap HP Envy wireless all in one. I plug it in gave it my Wi-fi Security code it connected to my home network and was happy. So was Windows 10.  I installed no HP software however HP and Microsft does when the Envy attaches to the network.  I have no problem scanning using Photoshop Import WIA support when I select the Envy. I would think Cannon would install the needed Windows 10 software.
