Every time I start photo shop the message scratch disc is full. Then when I press ok the app shuts down. I have reset my laptop back to factory settings so the hard drive has plenty of space. The app still won't work I have googled for a solution without any joy. Any idea what I'm doing wrong Regards Ray

Hold down CTRL+ALT(PC) / CMD+OPT(Mac) as soon as Photoshop starts.

You can change your Scatch Disk setting before the app launches. Make sure it is set to the proper drive.

How much free space do you have on your system drive? They tend to fill up over time and you need to watch it. Never let it fill up beyond 70-80%.

Photoshop requires free disk space for temporary working files, aka scratch files. No matter how much RAM you have it's never enough, and then it goes to disk. Photoshop reserves a portion of the drive, and this is the scratch disk.

If you're so low on disk space that this message comes up, you should take it seriously. Anything below, say, 20 GB, just to throw out a number, is a red flag and you need to clear out space ASAP.

Consider it an early warning. If you ignore it, you may soon have bigger problems than Photoshop refusing to run.
