Scratch disk full when creating a document with custom dimensions

Hi,

I can't believe there isn't a solution offered by Adobe to deal with this problem. I have spent all day trying to fix this.

I'm on a Macbook Air, running Sierra. (not high sierra)

Here is a story:

  1. I got a scratch disk full error
  2. I saw I had very little space in my mac hard drive.
  3. I proceeded to delete enormous amounts of files (transfer them to an external hardisk)
  4. Upgrades my Clean my mac
  5. Finally after all that I see that I now have a decent amount of space.
  6. I updated Photoshop to CC 2018
  7. I still get the error whenever I want to create a new custom document.

I have tried so many things, spent hours looking at what the problem might be.

Can anyone help me find a solution?

Thank you.

The situation was quite urgent so what I did in the end was uninstall the last version of Photoshop and went back to an older one and I was able to work. But the mystery of why this happens remains. I have enough disk space. If I update to the latest version I'm afraid it will create the same error.

Hello, are you sure you are not creating a document of 1920*1080 inches?

could you post the first part of the contents of help-system info?

No, it is a 2000 x 2000 px 300 dpi.

Pretty standard for print.

If I go to Photoshop Print templates it opens without problem. It's just when I input my own numbers that says scratch disk is full.

What have you done for Photoshop trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:

What dimensions and the unit of measure are you using?

I am trying to create a 2000 x 2000 pixels at 300 dpi.

Or around those simensions.. 2600 px x 3500 px at 150 dpi

I get the error.

If I open one of Photoshop Print templates they open without any issue. It's just when I input my own dimensions that I get a scratch disk full.
