SCRATCH DISKS!!! Help... [Mac]

Does anyone else get told they cannot open a file because all their scratch disks are full? I use a MAC and do not keep much on the hard drive, instead keep everything on my USB stick. I have tried to clean up my computer.

Does anyone have a solution to this?
