select and mask not working after update CC 2018

updated to the PS CC 2018  yesturday and now select and mask wont work "could not apply the workspace becuase of a program error"
never had this issue before update.

I'll admit, I was skeptical about resetting all my preferences; however, access to the refine edge tool through Select and Mask is vital to achieve the selections I want.

I'm very excited to report that this simple solution solved the problem for me. Select & Mask was completely useless for me, but now I'm back in action. It took a minute or two to reset my toolbar and other settings as I had them before, but I took screen shots to remind myself how I originally had everything set up.

Hi Ashlee,

As you're getting a workspace error, could you please let us know which operating system are you using?

Have you tried resetting the preferences of Photoshop?

HI I'm using Windows 10.

And no I haven't reset anything as I don't know how.
