Select And Mask: Tool Shortcuts Missing

In the very latest version of Photoshop CC. the shortcuts for modifying the size of brushes seem to have disappeared (MacOS Mojave). The same shortcuts work very well elsewhere in Photoshop.

Am I missing something? Thanks.
