Select controll points on curves without moving them

Hi can you select control points on the curves remotely, so without clicking on it as that can move it. I'm having to adjust maps on a 3d character that I was given and two maps are a tad out, I'm adjusting the brightness one point at a time and think I've got it but then realise it's a bit out and there's a line so I need to go back into the curves and adjust by one point. I can't see how I can do it without the move the point.

Thanks.

@jimm7497115 – You can use the plus + and minus - keys to cycle up/down/through placed control points or the default shadow and highlight control points on the curve (no need to hold down shift).

Lots of good tricks and tips for curves here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/curves-adjustment.html

  • To deselect all points on the curve, click in the grid, or press Ctrl‑D (Windows) or Command-D (Mac OS).
  • To select the next higher point on the curve, press the plus key; to select the next lowest, press the minus key.
  • To move selected points on the curve, press the arrow keys.
  • (Curves dialog box) To set a point on the curve for the current channel, Ctrl-click (Windows) or Command-click (Mac OS) in the image.

Thank you so much. I knew there was a way, but, this version of Photoshop is a bit sticky. I just installed the last version, so I wasn't trusting anything. Thanks. I admit i wouldn't have worked it out without a lot of random key presses. I did notice once I just went for it that if I was careful clicking on the point didn't change the falue like I was thinking. I have another app and it does if you click anywhere but precisely.
